Fresh Food Fair – What is the Fresh Food Fair?
Our Fresh Food Fair is a twilight event each year
Surfside Primary School lights up the night when we hold our annual twilight Fresh Food Fair. Held on the Melbourne Cup weekend from 3:15pm, the school grounds are transformed into a festival of light, colour, food, music and celebration.
Live music and pop up food stalls are a highlight of our fair. Along with an art show, carnival rides, sideshow games, white elephant stall and a classic home made cake bake sale.
The Fresh Food Fair is the school’s major fundraising event for the year, with proceeds supporting the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program at Surfside. The school’s purpose built commercial kitchen and award winning garden give Surfside students the opportunity to gain hands on cooking experience.
