Investigations
Our Investigations sessions are an important aspect of learning in the junior school.
Twice a week, students are involved in exciting, personalised and authentic play-based experiences that reflect the particular needs, interests and strengths of the individual child. During these sessions, students are provided with opportunities to explore a range of investigation stations. These are open-ended, purposeful and linked to current learning through explicitly planned learning intentions.
These learning stations include areas for literacy, numeracy, science, collage, construction, sensory exploration and dramatic play. Our play-based approach to investigations seeks to foster life-long learning skills, ensuring that our classrooms are filled with highly motivated and happy children.
